As of September 2025, Riku has regained abilities he had during Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance. In short, he's become a Dream Eater!

Dream Eaters are beings in the Kingdom Hearts universe that reside in the realm of dreams. They, as the name describes, are benevolent spirits that eat people's nightmares.

So what does this mean for Kaisou? Well, Riku has found himself in possession of two new abilities: he can view and move through dreams that people are actively having and he can then combat and 'devour' the darkness that is creating nightmares in said dreams.

So! If anyone would like a very socially awkward teenager to be able to help clear out their nightmares-- well, Riku is very unfortunately your man!

This whole thing is completely opt-in, so if you would like Riku to visit your character from time to time to help keep the nightmares at bay, please fill out the form below! Otherwise, unless discussed otherwise, it will be assumed that he cannot visit that character's dreams.

As a note: Riku honestly considers this as part of his past life's duties as a Keyblade Master, so he'll be very confidential and professional about the whole thing. After all, nightmares can be very dangerous if left alone for too long.
